ADA Compliant Showers
ADA compliance is required in many installation scenarios, as it ensures ease of accessibility for all people. wedi® offers an array of compliant shower systems to meet these requirements and needs. Many wedi® shower systems may be installed floor level, fully flush with height and weight considerations to ease burdened subfloors and reduce labor requirements involved in installation. Additionally, wedi® has developed a ramp that accommodates the barrier-free installation of the Fundo base on top of a subfloor.
If no ramp or recessing of the base in the subfloor is possible, wedi® offers another solution involving the installation of wedi® Building Panels. These panels, 1-1/2” or 2” thickness, may be integrated around the Fundo or Riolito bases to create a ready for tile assembly. This option requires ample subfloor height be available.
